Jen serves as the Washington Business Journal’s Editor-at-Large, where she is focused on creating and promoting new editorial, events and marketing content. She spent the past year anchoring the morning Money News segment on-air at WTOP 103.5 FM.
Previously, Jen served as the publication’s assistant managing editor in charge of video, where she led the overall video strategy, creation and production and saw traffic increase by more than 200 percent in one year. Her videos have won numerous awards, including a 2014 Best-in-Show from the Maryland-D.C.-Delaware Press Association.
In the nine years prior, Jen has served as a feature writer, editor, video producer and columnist for the Washington Business Journal, a business weekly in the Washington, D.C. region. Her weekly column, “Working the Room,” chronicles office life and after hours networking adventures of some of Washington’s leading business authorities and appears on the paper’s Back Page photo round-up.
Before joining the Washington Business Journal, Jen served as the executive director of Women in Film & Video of Washington, D.C., a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the role of women in the film, television and media industries. She also worked in television production and show development for ProServ, which eventually became part of Clear Channel Entertainment.
She started her career working on television productions, including projects with HBO Sports, The McLaughlin Group and commercials, music videos and documentaries. She holds a B.S. and M.S. from the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
